Q: What can you expect with the slogan “Greatest Hits of the 60’s 70’s & 80’s” on CBS-FM?
A: CBS-FM will feature the biggest variety of music mostly from the 60’s and 70’s with a few 80’s too.
Q: Are the 80’s new on CBS-FM?
A: CBS-FM has always played the 80’s. The only time the 80’s were not featured was in the 1970’s, when the songs didn’t exist yet.
Q: Will the 50’s be played on CBS-FM?
A: Yes 50’s are be part of the blend. We have played more Pre-Beatles and 50’s songs than CBS-FM did two years ago. Remember because the Rock & Roll era started at the end of the decade, only the last few years of 50’s songs will featured.
Q: How big is the playlist of CBS-FM?
A: In the last two weeks we have already featured over 1,000 titles and will offer the biggest variety in NY Commercial Radio. We haven’t even played every song yet.
Q: What is the CBS-FM Hall of Fame feature?
A: The Hall of Fame gives us a chance to highlight different styles of music that might not be normally played on a regular basis. Historic days in music history will be featured a long with a lot of the fun music styles. H.O.F. features will include One Hit Wonders, Girl Groups, NY Area Artists, Summer of Love, and the Heart of Rock & Roll saluting the early days…just to name a few. Tune in everyday because you never know what song we’ll dust off on the CBS-FM Hall of Fame.
Q: What about the former DJ’s of CBS-FM?
A: Not everyone from the past is available. Some of our former personalities are under contract to other radio companies, some are retired and sadly not everyone is in good health to work a full time schedule. Some of the people who are available will be featured on Sundays with a show we’ve dubbed “NY Radio Greats” that will air Sundays from 7:00 – 10:00pm.
Q: What time does the Top 20 Countdown air?
A: Sundays from 10:00 – Midnight with host Jeff Mazzei.
Q: What about other specialty shows?
A: Special features will develop as we grow and respond to our listeners.
